The first year of these all their illumination was via phosphorescent pigments mixed with acrylic medium. They were fine and did the trick but after realizing they were glowing because they were stealing photons that were not theirs. I had to figure out how to make things magical without creating a sense of entitled dependence amongst clouds. And Ayn Rand would not like that…
